Pinterest can be an amazing traffic source, but only if your profile and pins are optimised to attract your ideal audience.
Recently, members of my PinPower Growth Academy took part in a challenge to polish their Pinterest presence, and they nailed it! Today, I'm sharing their fantastic results to show you how you can fix three common Pinterest mistakes.
Your Pinterest profile is like your shop window, it needs to clearly show visitors what you offer. Many profiles are vague or missing essential information, which can leave pinners confused.
How to Fix It:
Member Spotlight: Debbie from Debbie Joyful Designs updated her profile beautifully, clearly stating that she offers "Original artwork to help you share your faith." Now, her ideal customers immediately know they're in the right place.
Debbie helps Christians who are looking for gifts and cards with Scripture on them. You can visit her Pinterest Profile here.
Without the right keywords, your ideal audience won't find your pins, no matter how beautiful they are.
How to Fix It:
Member Spotlight: Barbara from Love our Shops UK skillfully incorporated relevant keywords like "Dog training treats" and "Dog accessories" into her Pin title and description, ensuring her pins reach exactly the right audience.
Barbara inspires the nation to shop independent more and more everyday. You can visit her Pinterest Profile here.
Even if Pinterest users see your pins, you won’t get traffic if the pins don’t invite a click.
How to Fix It:
Member Spotlight: Helen from Ell Evan Bookkeeping created visually appealing, engaging pins with clear, enticing titles like "How much does it cost to sell on Etsy?" Her thoughtful design immediately encourages clicks.
Helen helps e-commerce business owners go from chaos to calm by removing their bookkeeping headaches. You can visit her Pinterest Profile here.
