If you’ve ever found yourself scrambling to create and publish Pinterest pins in the middle of a busy workweek, or worse, not pinning at all because life got in the way, batching your Pinterest content might be just what you need.
I started batching Pinterest content out of necessity. Between client work, parenting, and trying to stay visible online without being constantly online, I needed a way to stay consistent that didn’t eat up my mental space every single day.
In this post, I’m sharing the exact Pinterest batching system I use to plan, design, write, and schedule a full month of Pinterest content in one focused sitting. Whether you’re just starting out or looking for a more sustainable routine, this process will help you show up consistently, without burning out.
Before I even open Canva or think about pin designs, I begin with a quick strategy check-in.
Batching content without a plan can lead to random, disconnected pins, and that’s not what we want.
Here’s what I focus on:
What content or products do I want to promote this month?
Are there any seasonal trends or key dates I should consider?
Do I have fresh blog posts or offers that need visibility?
Once I’ve got a list of priorities, I’ll outline 4–5 main content themes or blog posts to focus on for the month. This helps me create Pinterest pins that are purposeful, not just pretty.
Next up is the pin design. I like to use templates to keep things fast and consistent. (If you’ve seen my Template Shop you’ll know I love a clean, scroll-stopping style that works across niches).
I usually create 3–5 pin designs for each blog post or offer I’m promoting. This gives me enough variety to test different visuals and headlines while keeping everything cohesive.
Here’s how I keep my design session efficient:
I duplicate existing templates and swap out headlines/images
I batch by blog post (so all pins for Post A, then Post B, etc.)
I don’t overthink it. Done is better than perfect!
Once the visuals are sorted, I shift into writing mode.
I batch all my Pinterest pin titles and descriptions at once, usually while the designs are open in front of me. This helps me tailor the copy to match the visual vibe, and keeps everything flowing faster than jumping between design and writing tasks.
Here’s what I include:
A compelling headline that’s clear and curiosity-driven
A short description with relevant keywords
A strong call-to-action (CTA) like read the full blog, download the freebie, or get the guide
💡 Tip: I keep pin titles and descriptions in a Master spreadsheet so I can copy and paste them with new designs in the future!
This is where the magic happens! Once the pin images, titles, and descriptions are ready, I schedule them using Pinterest’s native scheduler (which in my experience gives the best results).
My monthly batching process usually results in:
20-30 scheduled pins (that’s just 1–2 per day)
A mix of blog posts, offers, and seasonal content
A good balance of fresh pins and re-pins
It takes me about an hour to get everything into the scheduler once the pins are ready, and then Pinterest runs in the background while I focus on other parts of my business.
Batching Pinterest content doesn’t need to be an all-day event or a source of pressure.
Here’s what I’ve learned:
Start small: Begin by batching just a week’s worth of content until you find your flow.
Use templates: They save time, help you stay consistent, and reduce design stress.
Don’t aim for perfect: Done is better than perfect, especially with Pinterest’s long game.
